Description
The Coby Foundation provides grants to museums and 501(c)(3) cultural organizations based in the Mid-Atlantic and New England regions for projects that focus on textiles and fashion from any culture, region, or era. Supported activities include exhibitions (planning and implementation), public programs, publications, conservation, digitization, cataloging, and community-engaged textile projects. The Foundation prioritizes projects with innovative scholarship, those that highlight underrepresented artists or cultures, and initiatives that preserve or provide access to previously understudied textile collections. Only direct project costs are eligible for funding; staff salaries and overhead are not covered.
