Description
The Theodore C. Sorensen Research Fellowship supports research connected to the archives of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation administers the fellowship using funds provided by Sorensen, who served as John F. Kennedy’s speechwriter and Special Counsel during Kennedy’s Senate and presidential years.
The fellowship focuses on domestic policy, political journalism, polling, press relations, and related topics. Projects must draw at least in part on JFK Library archival materials, but researchers may also consult collections at other institutions. Applicants describe the significance of their planned work, the collections they expect to use, and its intended audience and outcome.
