Description
This grant funds local organizations to develop and implement sexual risk avoidance education programs for youth ages 10–19 in states and territories that have not accepted their FY 2026 Title V State SRAE allotment. Projects must use medically accurate, evidence-based approaches to teach youth about refraining from non-marital sexual activity, personal responsibility, self-regulation, healthy decision-making, and related life skills. Programs must also address topics such as resisting sexual coercion, dating violence, and other youth risk behaviors, and must be culturally and age-appropriate. The initiative encourages the use of positive youth development (PYD) approaches, trauma-informed care, and universal education on human trafficking.
