Description
The TMS Foundation, part of the Minerals Metals and Materials Society, supports scientists and engineers advancing technology in minerals, metals, and materials. Its priorities are education, collaboration, and expanded participation across the profession. Support includes undergraduate and graduate scholarships, student meeting travel grants, Family Care Grants, and early career support.
These programs focus on educational opportunity and professional development. Scholarships support students in mineral industries and materials-related disciplines, while travel grants help student members attend the TMS Annual Meeting & Exhibition or MS&T. Family Care Grants help materials science and engineering professionals attend the TMS Annual Meeting when caregiving responsibilities, medical conditions, or disabilities create additional participation costs.
