The Overseas Faculty Development Seminars on Traditions and Innovations in Agriculture and Forestry, organized by the Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC), provide selected U.S. faculty with a fully funded, immersive international experience. Seminars are held in India and Brazil, focusing on sustainable agriculture, forestry, climate resilience, biodiversity, technology innovation, and community development. Participants engage in lectures from local experts, site visits to universities, research institutes, NGOs, and cultural sites, as well as collaborative meetings with practitioners. The program is designed to deepen faculty understanding of global environmental challenges and innovative solutions, foster professional connections, and promote collaborative research and institutional partnerships.
