    Description

This opportunity, part of North Dakota’s Rural Health Transformation Program, funds the creation and expansion of “train in place” programs designed to help rural and tribal health care staff earn advanced credentials, degrees, certificates, or microcredentials. The initiative aims to strengthen the rural health workforce by supporting planning, launching, and sustaining local training programs, as well as business-practice training and individual upskilling awards. Programs must be flexible—such as virtual, evening, or weekend formats—and tailored to the needs of rural communities. The goal is to improve provider retention, recruit new providers, and reduce workforce shortages by empowering local organizations to modernize training and employment practices.
