Description
This program, administered by the Public Diplomacy Section of the U.S. Mission to Germany, funds projects that advance the transatlantic partnership and reinforce democratic principles as the U.S. marks its 250th anniversary. The program targets forward-looking initiatives that deepen U.S.–German collaboration, increase mutual understanding, and engage German audiences with strong U.S. components. Priority areas include science, technology, and space cooperation; sports diplomacy; countering anti-Semitism and supporting freedom of speech; and evaluation of exchange programs. All projects must include measurable objectives, a robust monitoring and evaluation plan, and strategic outreach to German audiences. Both grants and cooperative agreements are available, with the latter involving substantial embassy collaboration.
