The Transfer Pathways Program, offered by the Arthur Vining Davis Foundations (AVDF) in partnership with the Teagle Foundation, funds the development of statewide, regional, or consortial academic partnerships between public two-year and private four-year colleges. The initiative’s goal is to facilitate the transfer and completion of baccalaureate degrees in the liberal arts, specifically for students who have historically been excluded from higher education—such as low-income, first-generation, students of color, and immigrant students.
Projects may include building clear transfer pathways, developing articulation agreements, coordinating student support services, and establishing data-sharing structures. The program is embedded within AVDF’s Private Higher Education Program Area, which prioritizes undergraduate liberal arts education, improved student outcomes, and institutional collaboration.
