Summary: Supports organizations and higher education institutions in providing postsecondary education and workforce pathways for gang-involved youth leading to credentials or certification.
This program funds projects that support gang-involved youth (ages 14–24) in accessing postsecondary education opportunities that lead to industry-recognized credentials or certifications. The initiative encourages integration with workforce development, pre-apprenticeships, and registered apprenticeships to facilitate successful transitions into higher education and the workforce. Projects must demonstrate direct engagement with gang-involved youth and alignment with state workforce priorities, and may include partnerships between higher education institutions, nonprofit organizations, employers, and apprenticeship sponsors.
