This grant supports innovative research related to the design and specification of trees and soils in urban landscapes, propagation and nursery practices, species diversity, improvement of tree root and canopy structure, soil and drainage modification, tree planting practices and space design, as well as establishment and maintenance of trees and planting soils. The program welcomes proposals from a broad range of academic and technical disciplines, including both qualitative and quantitative approaches, and is open to topics relevant to the landscape architecture community beyond those specifically listed.
