Description
This program aims to strengthen the educational capacity of Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs) designated as 1994 Land-grant Institutions by supporting projects that enhance teaching, curriculum, faculty development, and student experiential learning in the food and agricultural sciences. The grant seeks to prepare Native Alaskan and American Indian students for leadership roles and careers in agriculture, Tribal governance, and academia, with a strong emphasis on culturally responsive education and Tribal leadership development. The program funds education projects that address one or more of six legislatively mandated priorities, including curriculum design, faculty development, student experiential learning, equipment for teaching STEAM fields, student recruitment and retention, and innovative instruction systems or partnerships.
