The UC Cancer Research Coordinating Committee (CRCC) Faculty Seed Grants provide one-year awards to support innovative, faculty-directed research on any aspect of cancer—including its origins, prevention, detection, and cure—across the University of California system. The program is designed to catalyze new ideas and approaches, spanning the full spectrum from basic science to applied clinical and community-based research. Proposals from all disciplines relevant to cancer are encouraged, including biomedical sciences, engineering, public health, law, social sciences, psychology, and health services research. The intent is to foster projects that can become competitive for larger, longer-term external funding.
