UK Aid Match is a flagship funding programme from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) that enables UK-based civil society organisations and charities to secure matched funding for projects that tackle poverty and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals in eligible developing countries. For every £1 donated by the UK public to a participating charity’s appeal, the UK government provides £1 in matched funding, amplifying the reach and impact of supported initiatives. The programme aims to both deliver high-impact development projects and engage the UK public with international development issues. Supported sectors include climate change, disabilities, education, empowerment, health, livelihoods, business, and water and sanitation.
