Description
This opportunity funds project development studies aimed at advancing electrochemical ultra long duration energy storage (ULDES) demonstration projects in the UK. The competition is part of a two-phase initiative to accelerate the development, scale-up, and UK manufacture of ULDES technologies capable of providing at least 100 hours of continuous power and a 25-year working life. Funded studies should enable the transition from concept to construction for large-scale, cost-competitive energy storage, supporting the UK’s clean energy infrastructure.
