The UM6P-J-PAL Applied Lab for Agriculture (UJALA) is a collaborative initiative between the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), University Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P), and OCP Nutricrops. UJALA supports research that advances evidence on agricultural technologies, practices, and policies designed to improve the productivity, profitability, food security, and environmental sustainability of smallholder farmers globally. The program prioritizes randomized evaluations and policy-relevant studies addressing core challenges in small-scale agriculture, including subsidy design, domestic food production, technology adoption, market integration, and fertilizer customization.
