    Description

UN Women seeks one qualified civil society organization to implement selected Ghana activities under the SAFE project. The intervention addresses violence, exclusion and human rights violations affecting older women and marginalized groups, particularly in Northern Ghana. Its focus includes witchcraft accusations, discriminatory widowhood rites, economic dispossession, age-based discrimination and banishment to so-called witch camps, alongside harmful narratives circulating through media and digital spaces.

The selected Responsible Party will deliver leadership workshops, local policy advocacy, survivor-centred community dialogues and coordination between traditional leaders, faith leaders, government institutions and civil society. The work promotes positive masculinities, locally grounded human rights principles, accountable protection pathways and translation of protective policy commitments into local action. Activities must align with SAFE Outputs 1.2, 2.1 and 2.3 under Outcomes 1 and 2, using culturally grounded, inclusive and intersectional approaches.
