Description
This Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Action (RIA) supports projects that investigate how biological sex and gender influence cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), with the goal of developing improved, tailored risk models and innovative approaches for prevention, detection, diagnosis, and treatment. Proposals must address the structural, hormonal, biological, psychosocial, socioeconomic, cultural, and behavioral factors affecting CVD incidence, symptoms, and outcomes in men and women. The call encourages interdisciplinary research, integration of existing health data and biobanks, use of advanced technologies (including AI), and involvement of social sciences and humanities to maximize societal impact. Collaboration with SMEs, networking, and joint activities are promoted to enhance innovation and commercialization potential.
