The U.S.-Africa Frontiers of Science, Engineering, and Medicine program, organized by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, is designed to promote interdisciplinary dialogue and build research capacity among early-career researchers from the United States and African Union member countries. Through a series of symposia, the program facilitates scientific exchange, fosters networking and collaboration, and addresses research topics of critical importance to Africa, such as climate, energy, food security, data science, and public health. The initiative also supports the development of an active alumni network and may provide additional opportunities such as small seed grants for collaborative projects.
