This program seeks to advance U.S. national interests by fostering private sector-led, market-based growth in sub-Saharan Africa through two strategic focus areas: Critical Minerals Investment and Commercial Diplomacy Acceleration. Projects should deliver measurable benefits to one or more sub-Saharan African countries, such as increased high-quality U.S. and U.S.-aligned investment, improved regulatory environments, and expanded opportunities for U.S. commercial participation. The program encourages innovative approaches that de-risk and catalyze sustainable economic activity and supply chain security, especially in sectors vital to U.S. interests.
