Programs must include an American element—such as partnership with U.S. experts or institutions—and address one or more of the PAS Surabaya strategic priorities. These priorities include bilateral relations, regional security, economic growth, social issues, English teaching, education, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math), and media engagement. Priority is given to projects in East Java, Bali, NTB, NTT, Sulawesi, Maluku, and North Maluku.
Projects can take the form of academic or professional exchanges, lectures, workshops, joint performances, or capacity-building activities. All proposals must clearly articulate their alignment with PAS Surabaya’s strategic goals and demonstrate how they will foster people-to-people ties and mutual understanding.
