This opportunity from the U.S. Mission to Barbados funds a two-year EducationUSA Regional Advising Program based in Barbados. The program aims to expand access to U.S. higher education for youth across the Eastern Caribbean by providing comprehensive, professional advising services. The selected part-time adviser will deliver monthly webinars, virtual outreach, individual and cohort advising, and develop partnerships with U.S. and regional institutions. The program also includes social media engagement and support for events such as college fairs.
Primary objectives include:
- Delivering at least 24 monthly webinars over two years, reaching a minimum of 1,000 unique participants (students, parents, educators).
- Providing individualized and cohort-based virtual advising to at least 400 students and families, with measurable outcomes in applications and enrollments.
- Establishing formal partnerships with at least 15 U.S. universities and regional educational institutions.
The program is designed to strengthen people-to-people ties and advance democratic values in the Caribbean.
