This opportunity provides funding for a single Uruguayan organization to administer and manage the U.S. Embassy Montevideo Public Diplomacy Small Grants Program. The selected grantee will work in close partnership with the U.S. Embassy to design, promote, and run a competitive small grants program that supports the Embassy’s strategic public diplomacy objectives. The grantee will be responsible for all aspects of the program, including outreach, proposal review, grantee communications, payment and financial management, and monitoring and evaluation of funded projects. All activities must include a clear U.S. element—such as collaboration with U.S. experts, institutions, or organizations—and focus on Uruguayan audiences.
The program aims to fund at least four subgrant projects that advance U.S.-Uruguay bilateral relations in areas such as security, democratic governance, technology, economic prosperity, education, and sports diplomacy. The Embassy will be substantially involved in the management of the program, including the review and selection of subawardees.
