Description
The U.S. Mission to Australia’s Public Diplomacy Section (PDS) invites proposals for projects that advance U.S. economic, commercial, and security interests in Australia. This opportunity, offered through the Annual Program Statement (APS), seeks to fund initiatives that foster people-to-people ties, promote American leadership, and deliver measurable results. Projects must address at least one of the following strategic goals:
- Promote flag football in Australia (including clinics, coaching outreach, and community engagement, especially ahead of the 2028 Olympics).
- Combat antisemitism through Holocaust education (remembrance, curriculum development, public programming, and countering Holocaust denial).
- Strengthen Pacific Islands partnership by highlighting shared cultural values in arts, cultural heritage preservation, education, and training.
All proposals must demonstrate a clear connection to American experts, organizations, institutions, or cultural elements to promote understanding of U.S. policy and perspectives. The primary beneficiaries must be based in Australia.
