Description
The U.S. Embassy Kuala Lumpur Public Affairs Section (PAS) invites proposals for projects that promote mutual understanding and strengthen ties between the United States and Malaysia. This grant opportunity funds initiatives that advance U.S. interests, foster bilateral cooperation, and highlight American perspectives and expertise. Supported activities may include cultural, educational, exchange, and innovation programs, provided they feature a significant American element (such as American speakers, organizations, or content).
Priority program areas are:
- Promotion of regional security cooperation (including countering illegal migration, violent extremism, and transnational threats)
- Advancing economic and commercial partnerships (such as trade and investment issues)
- Promoting innovation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)
- Other efforts that advance mutual understanding of policies, values, and perspectives
Projects must be completed within one year and primarily benefit Malaysian audiences or residents.
