Description
The UW Global Innovation Fund (GIF) is an internal funding opportunity established by the University of Washington to empower faculty and staff in developing interdisciplinary research, global learning initiatives, and innovative collaborations that cross traditional academic boundaries. The program provides several award tracks—covering research, study abroad/away, curriculum innovation, and virtual exchange (COIL)—with the goal of fostering international partnerships, launching new global programs, and enhancing intercultural understanding within the UW community.
