The VA Advanced Postdoctoral Fellowship in Women's Health is a two-year, multidisciplinary research training program at the San Francisco VA Medical Center (SFVAMC) and the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). The fellowship is designed for postdoctoral scholars interested in advancing research on health issues uniquely affecting women veterans. Fellows receive mentored training from leading faculty, access to didactic and experiential learning, and opportunities to conduct independent and collaborative research. Research topics include PTSD, psychoneuroendocrinology, reproductive health, menopause, pain, sleep, osteoporosis, breast cancer, cardiovascular risk, and more. Clinically trained fellows may also provide direct patient care in the Women Veterans’ Comprehensive Health Center.
