The Venetian Research Program for Individual Scholars provides travel grants to support historical research on Venice and the former Venetian empire, as well as the study of contemporary Venetian society and culture. The program is open to scholars from all disciplines in the humanities and social sciences, including but not limited to archaeology, architecture, art, economics, history, law, literature, music, political science, religion, and theater. Grants are intended to support travel and research expenses, primarily for work conducted in Venice and relevant locations. The program operates two parallel tracks: one for U.S. citizens/permanent residents and one for citizens/permanent residents of the British Isles and Commonwealth.
