Description
This fellowship opportunity under the NRC Research Associateship Programs focuses on advancing training methodologies for ground troops operating in outdoor urban environments through virtual training simulations. The research involves two main activities:
- Designing and testing innovative training methodologies and pedagogies that leverage simulations and game-based systems to enhance learning and training effectiveness.
- Validating artificial intelligence solutions that simulate human performance within these virtual training environments.
The goal is to improve the preparedness and effectiveness of ground troops in urban warfare operations by integrating cutting-edge virtual reality, human factors, AI, and behavior modeling techniques.
The research is hosted at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey, CA, within the Engineering, Applied Sciences, and Computer Science departments.
