The Cotsen Traveling Fellowship provides a short-term grant for Ph.D. holders and graduate students of any nationality to conduct research that requires the use of the unique collections of the Gennadius Library at the American School of Classical Studies at Athens. Established in honor of Lloyd E. Cotsen, this fellowship encourages engagement with the library’s resources and participation in the academic community of both the Gennadius Library and the School. Recipients are expected to reside in Athens for at least one month during the academic year, contribute to the scholarly life of the institution, and provide copies of any resulting publications to the library.
