The Volemos Grant, sponsored by illustrator Angela Dominguez and author Meg Medina, is awarded annually to one writer and one illustrator of Hispanic/Latinx/Ibero-American heritage who are early in their careers or not yet traditionally published. The grant provides $500, a one-year membership to the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), and a professional coaching session. Its aim is to support emerging voices and provide professional development opportunities within the children’s book industry.
