    Description

    This opportunity funds the creation or enhancement of state and tribal government programs that encourage owners and operators of privately held farm, ranch, and forest land to make their land available for public access for hunting, fishing, and other wildlife-dependent recreation. The program also supports wildlife habitat improvement activities on enrolled lands. Up to 25% of each award may be used for habitat improvement incentives. Projects can last up to three years, and the program aims to maximize public access while ensuring appropriate wildlife habitat.
