Summary: Supports mid-career mathematicians and theoretical computer scientists with full-time research residencies at IAS.
The Von Neumann Fellowships at the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) provide distinguished mid-career mathematicians and theoretical computer scientists with the opportunity to pursue independent research in residence at IAS for periods ranging from 2 to 11 months. The program aims to foster advanced study and collaboration in all mathematical subject areas and theoretical computer science by offering fellows full freedom from teaching and administrative responsibilities, access to on-campus housing, and institutional resources. Approximately eight fellowships are awarded each year, with several funded by the National Science Foundation. Fellows are also encouraged to participate in post-doctoral mentoring activities during their stay.
