Description
This funding opportunity seeks Statements of Interest (SOIs) from qualified organizations to conduct research on the response of wading birds to ecosystem restoration activities in Southwest Florida, particularly in relation to the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP). The project will assess wading bird populations as key ecological indicators, quantify restoration benefits, and inform future restoration planning and adaptive management. The work will involve field surveys, data analysis, and participation in collaborative meetings, with deliverables including annual reports and contributions to system status reports. Substantial involvement from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is anticipated throughout the project.
