The Watershed Advocacy program funds projects that empower communities—especially those that are marginalized or overlooked—to participate in water policy advocacy and improve the health and water quality of local streams and rivers. The program seeks to amplify the voices of those most impacted by water policies, break down social and financial barriers to engagement, and support capacity-building among frontline watershed stewards and restoration practitioners. Partnerships and collaborations among diverse interests are encouraged to advance watershed health and ensure access to clean, swimmable, and drinkable water.
