The Watershed Restoration and Protection Program (WRPP) provides funding to restore and maintain Pennsylvania stream reaches that are impaired by nonpoint source polluted runoff, with the ultimate goal of removing these streams from the Department of Environmental Protection’s Impaired Waters list. The program focuses on the implementation, improvement, repair, and maintenance of watershed protection Best Management Practices (BMPs) in both agricultural and urban settings. Eligible projects may include streambank stabilization, runoff control, water quality monitoring, and the rehabilitation of existing BMPs.
