WEDnetPA is a workforce training grant program administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) and delivered through a statewide network of educational partners. The program provides reimbursement funding to eligible Pennsylvania companies for job skills training of their full-time employees. WEDnetPA is designed to advance workforce retention, upskilling, and competitiveness in alignment with Pennsylvania’s economic development priorities, targeting five key industries: manufacturing, life sciences (including general medical and surgical hospitals), energy, agriculture, and robotics & technology.
Employers have flexibility to design their training plans, select training providers (including private-sector trainers, WEDnetPA partners, or qualified in-house staff), and choose training formats (on-site, off-site, or online). Eligible training must be skill-building, directly related to current job performance or advancement, and completed within the fiscal year of the award.
