Description
Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity offers this program for emerging and experienced leaders in arts, heritage, and creative industries. It approaches leadership through Indigenous wise practices, right relations, deep listening, and self-inquiry. Participants reflect with a peer cohort and work through cultural challenges using wise practice principles.
The program connects governance, strategic thinking, organizational development, cultural policy and protocols, and community engagement as elements of resilient, values-based leadership. Activities include land-based deep listening, social network mapping, collaborative decision-making, and conversations with sector leaders. Participants are expected to dedicate approximately 40 hours during the program week.
