Summary: Eight-month fellowship for women in nuclear security, supporting joint projects, skills training, mentorship, and a capstone workshop to strengthen global networks and advance nonproliferation.
Key Information: Applicants must apply in pairs; only female-identifying citizens from Asia, Africa, Latin America, or the Middle East are eligible.
This international fellowship, funded by CRDF Global in partnership with Global Affairs Canada, is designed to empower female-identifying professionals in the nuclear security and nonproliferation sectors. The program aims to advance United Nations Security Council Resolution 1540 by fostering women's leadership, knowledge dissemination, and network-building in regions traditionally underrepresented in the field. The fellowship includes a five-part webinar series for technical and professional development, a mini-grant phase for implementing joint projects at home institutions, and concludes with a fully funded, in-person capstone workshop in Vienna, Austria. Regional mentors support fellows throughout, promoting project impact and sustained engagement.
