Description
This funding opportunity supports state implementation of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Youth Program for Program Year (PY) 2026. The program provides formula-based grants to states, including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, to deliver workforce development, training, and employment services to eligible youth. The WIOA Youth Program aims to improve the employability, education, and earnings of in-school and out-of-school youth, particularly those facing barriers to employment.
Funds are distributed to states based on statutory formulas considering unemployment and disadvantaged youth data. States must further allocate funds to local workforce areas, following federal and approved state plan requirements.
