--- ## Description This grant supports the publication of scholarly books focusing on the art of the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Administered by the College Art Association (CAA) and funded by the Wyeth Foundation for American Art, the program aims to encourage high scholarly and intellectual merit in book-length manuscripts, including museum exhibition or collection catalogs with substantial scholarship. Special consideration is given to projects with a small market, high production expenses, early-career scholars, smaller museums, underserved constituencies, groundbreaking research, new scholarship, or works that publish important primary source material. The grant also values aesthetically outstanding books that can broaden the audience for American art. --- ## Due Dates - March 31, 2026: Full application deadline (spring cycle) - September 15, 2026: Full application deadline (fall cycle) All deadlines refer to when the complete application must be received by the CAA office. --- ## Funding Amount - Typical award amounts range from $5,000 to $15,000 per publication. - Awards are made annually; funds are usually disbursed to the publisher at a late stage of production (e.g., upon submission of final galley proofs). - Multiple awards are made each cycle, subject to available funding. --- ## Eligibility - **Applicants:** Only publishers may apply (not authors).
