Description
The Wyoming Water Research Program supports and coordinates research on water-resource problems important to Wyoming and the region. Administered by the University of Wyoming Office of Water Programs, it is a cooperative federal, state, and university effort involving the U.S. Geological Survey, Wyoming Water Development Commission, and University of Wyoming. The program also supports water-related training and the dissemination and application of research results.
The FY2027 request for proposals welcomes research on Wyoming’s water resources that addresses state and federal agency needs without duplicating previous program research. Its identified topics include water shortage and conservation, ungaged-stream flows, public health, mine drainage, dam and reservoir operations, groundwater, and changing hydrologic variability.
