    Description

The Young Edmonton Grants (YEG) program, administered by the Edmonton Community Foundation, empowers local youth aged 13 to 24 in Edmonton and surrounding areas to develop and lead their own community projects. The program aims to foster youth leadership, personal growth, skill development, and meaningful community involvement. Funding is provided exclusively to projects that are initiated, led, and organized by youth, not to established charities or agencies delivering youth programming. Priority is given to proposals that clearly demonstrate youth leadership qualities such as mentoring, teamwork, initiative, and community engagement.

All funded projects and their partner charities are publicly recognized in Edmonton Community Foundation publications, highlighting the impact of youth-driven change in the community.
