The Young Scholars Program (YSP) of the Foundation for Child Development is designed to support early-career researchers whose work informs policy and practice to ensure that all young children, especially those marginalized by racism, xenophobia, or economic inequality, can thrive. The program has historically focused on the early care and education (ECE) workforce and the needs of young children in immigrant families. YSP awards significant funding for research projects that are policy- and practice-relevant and that have the potential to advance equity and well-being for vulnerable children.
YSP is currently paused as the Foundation considers new directions, but researchers are encouraged to monitor for updates, as the next anticipated competition is projected for 2027.
