This grant opportunity will fund the planning and implementation of the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Summit 2027 in Singapore. The summit aims to accelerate the adoption of the American AI tech stack in Southeast Asia and strengthen networks of pro-innovation leaders by bringing together at least 100 competitively selected YSEALI alumni from ASEAN member states. The program will include strategic discussions, policy advocacy training, and a hackathon-style event ("ASEAN Ignite") where participant teams develop AI-driven solutions to regional challenges. The summit is designed to highlight U.S. technological leadership, foster collaboration between U.S. and ASEAN stakeholders, and commemorate the 50th anniversary of U.S.-ASEAN relations.
