--- ## Description The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) Regular Grants, administered by the Barry Community Foundation, provide funding to local nonprofit organizations for projects that benefit youth in Barry County, Michigan. The unique aspect of this program is that both the application process and grantmaking decisions are youth-driven: a youth representative from the applicant organization must complete the application, outlining the organization's mission, membership, intended use of funds, and a spending plan. YAC prioritizes projects that: - Conduct additional fundraising beyond the YAC grant, - Positively impact a large number of youth, - Have not previously received a YAC grant, - Incorporate or utilize the Forty Assets Program For Healthy Communities.
