    Description

This grant opportunity from the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) supports the implementation of the FY 2026 Youth Ambassadors Programs. The initiative funds organizations to design and manage three-week international exchange programs for youth and adult mentors from the U.S. and select countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, East Asia and Pacific, Europe and Eurasia, Middle East and North Africa, South Central Asia, the Western Hemisphere, and the United States. The primary focus is youth leadership, with a strong emphasis on civic engagement, cross-cultural understanding, and the creative application of AI and technology.

Programs must include immersive exchanges, homestays, leadership training, skills development, and support for participants to implement follow-on projects in their home communities. Organizations may apply for one or more of eight program options, each targeting different world regions or U.S. participants. Proposals should demonstrate experience with international exchanges, capacity for program management, and a robust plan for alumni engagement and impact measurement.
