Summary: Supports small NYC nonprofits serving youth by strengthening their organizational infrastructure and capacity to address inequality in youth outcomes.

    Description

The Youth Service Capacity-Building Grants (YSCG) program is designed to strengthen the organizational infrastructure of small nonprofit organizations located in New York City’s five boroughs that provide direct services to young people ages 5 to 25. The grant aims to help these organizations address capacity-building needs identified through assessments, such as financial management, board development, staff training, fundraising, strategic planning, IT, leadership development, communications, and evaluation systems. In addition to funding, grantees receive technical assistance—including one-on-one support and peer learning opportunities—to help achieve their organizational goals over a three-year period. The overarching goal is to build more stable and effective youth-serving organizations that are equipped to tackle inequality in youth outcomes.
