Hey there! We've got some exciting news: Atom has just won the prestigious Catalyst Grant from Digital Science for innovative AI-based technology ideas aimed at advancing global research!

✨⚛️ At Atom, we're all about empowering researchers by slicing through the red tape and bureaucracy of funding science. The worlds best minds currently spend as much as half their time tangled in grant applications instead of actually doing research… We're on a mission to change that, and thanks to Digital Science, we're moving faster than ever.

🚀💡 We're super excited to join the likes of Overleaf and other incredible tools that have been part of many a scientist's journey, including ours. The Digital Science ecosystem is like a dream team for researchers. Overleaf, Dimensions, Altmetric, Figshare, and Writefull are all powerful tools which we’re excited to begin integrating, supplementing and finding new ways to support the research lifecycle within the Digital Science network.

🔗 Curious about the Catalyst Grant? Check out all the details on their landing page: Catalyst Grant. Digital Science is a hub for early-stage software ideas to improve the research landscape. They are an AI-focused technology company providing innovative solutions to complex challenges faced by researchers, universities, funders, industry and publishers who work in partnership to advance global research for the benefit of society.

🏅💪 Steve Scott from Digital Science said this year “we received the largest number of submissions in the history of Catalyst Grant. It gives us great pleasure to choose two outstanding ideas from among the research community, and to invest back into that community”. Our fellow winners were Future Metric, created by Dr Amy Nelson and Dr Mohamad Zeina who are using predictive AI modelling to help better understand research impact ahead of time, so that researchers can adjust their work and improve their outcomes for society. Pretty cool…

🤖🔬 At Atom, we're giving researchers a personal assistant for all things grant-related. With the Catalyst Grant under our belt, we’re turbocharging our development to bring you features like:

  • AI-generated, zero-touch onboarding user profiles.
  • Team management profiles for the sponsored projects back office staff.
  • An expanded roster of grant recommendations from private foundations.
  • Real-time, upgraded matching for on-the-fly recommendations.
  • An AI chat interface with your very own grant application.
  • Plus, an AI-powered grant summarizer that's like having the CliffsNotes for funding opportunities.

🎉 So what's the big takeaway? Atom + Digital Science Catalyst Grant = a brighter future where researchers spend less time applying for funds and more time making world-altering discoveries.
