ALS Finding a Cure’s upcoming Request for Proposals supports pioneering research projects that utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to accelerate discovery in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The initiative aims to catalyze transformative advances by integrating AI-driven techniques to enhance diagnosis, identify biomarkers, model disease progression, and uncover novel therapeutic targets for ALS. Projects may leverage large and complex datasets—such as electronic health records, clinical trial data, and multi-omics information—to unlock new insights into ALS mechanisms and treatment opportunities. Multidisciplinary and collaborative proposals are encouraged, especially those that bridge computational and clinical/biological expertise.
