The Glenn Foundation for Medical Research Postdoctoral Fellowship Continuation Awards, administered by the American Federation for Aging Research (AFAR), provide an additional year of funding to previous or current GFMR fellows whose research is highly promising. These awards are intended to support the continuation or expansion of research on the basic biological mechanisms of aging, or new research avenues directly relevant to human aging and healthspan. Projects on age-related diseases or geriatric functional disorders are eligible only if they are approached from the perspective of basic aging processes. The program aims to foster the development of clinically relevant strategies for addressing human aging and to promote scientific exchange among grantees and leaders in the field.
